I'm a hands-on builder who works where a customer's problem meets the code. I like starting with something ambiguous, sitting down with the people who live with it, and working it all the way through to software that's running in production.
Right now I'm a senior consultant and architect, building a multi-tenant AI analytics platform on AWS for convenience-store clients. I own it end to end: discovery with the client, the architecture, the pipeline that takes their operational data through S3 and Glue into QuickSight, LLM-driven analysis with Amazon Bedrock, deployment, and handover. I've also designed how agents work across tenants and evaluated MCP integrations, with tenant data isolation in mind.
I build with AI as much as for it. AI-assisted development with Claude Code and Cursor is how I shrink the gap between "here's the problem" and "it's running in production."
I've been in technology for more than 25 years. I started out in development, QA, release and IT management roles, then moved into product.
At a regulated consumer lender, I was the company's first product manager. I owned two store systems used across more than 1,200 locations to originate and service loans, pulled requirements from Compliance, Operations, Accounting and Warehouse into one prioritized backlog, and grew product management into a five-person team.
After that I spent almost nine years as a senior product manager and the customer-facing technical lead on seven client accounts across different domains. I scoped and estimated work, wrote SOWs, managed delivery teams, and took one client from high-level requirements to an iOS and Android app in production.
That mix is what I bring to forward deployed work. I can run the discovery session, write the SOW, and then build the thing myself and see it into production.
This site represents the intersection of two worlds I'm passionate about: technology and culture. My wife is from Singapore, of Indian/Malay descent, and through her I've developed a deep appreciation for the rich coffee culture (kopi) that's integral to Singaporean life.
Just as a good cup of kopi brings people together in a kopitiam, I believe technology has the power to connect cultures and create meaningful experiences. This site is my digital kopitiam - a place to share ideas, projects, and stories.
